My first childrens book commission, this story focuses on two leaf friends who have to combat issues of change, anxiety, abandonment and friendship.
Due to printing restrictions, I wanted to give the images a tactile and luxurious impression by having each page layered upon a rough, cartridge paper base giving the illusion of texture.
Every image is a digital collage of scanned in pastel rubbings, again adding to texture but also adding a softness and naturalness to the composite elements.
